Phil Young is a leading global corporate education consultant based in New York. With over 25 years of consulting experience, Phil has designed and delivered customized training programs in business acumen (e.g., finance, strategy, and marketing) for the world’s leading corporations in over 30 countries in North America, Western and Eastern Europe, the Nordic Region, the Middle East, Latin America, and the Asia-Pacific Region. Among his current and previous clients are IBM, Google, Microsoft, Verizon, ST Microelectronics, AT&T, BT (British Telecom), Ericsson, Booz&Co., MasterCard International, American Express, Dow Chemical, Heidelberg Cement, Ingersoll-Rand, Colgate-Palmolive and Reckitt Benckiser.

He is the co-author of THE PORTABLE MBA IN ECONOMICS , which has been translated into Spanish, Russian, and Mandarin (John Wiley & Sons) and MANAGERIAL ECONOMICS: ECONOMIC TOOLS FOR TODAY’S DECISION MAKERS (Prentice Hall, 2009, 6th edition and 7th edition forthcoming in 2012). He is the cofounder and creator of Learning Burst Academy, which produces self-directed, mobile educational courses in business acumen, marketing, business innovation and leadership.

He was a professor of economics in the MBA program of Pace University (New York) for a number of years. During this time, he was appointed as the first visiting professor to the IBM International Finance and Planning School in New York and Brussels. He was also the Director of the Executive MBA and Corporate Education programs for the University. He consistently received “best teacher” awards during his tenure at Pace.

Currently, he is an active member of the global faculty network of Duke Corporate Education, the International School of Management (Paris), and Frost & Sullivan. Duke CE is ranked #1 in customized corporate education by the Financial Times. He has also been an instructor in corporate education programs sponsored by Cornell University, the University of California at Berkeley, and the Thunderbird School of Global Management.

Phil received a B.A. from the University of Hawaii, a Masters in International Affairs from Columbia University, and a Ph.D. in Economics from New York University.
